Description

The FLD-Specialized Primer for Pure Aluminum is a high-performance, two-component epoxy primer specifically formulated to address the unique challenges of coating pure aluminum and high-purity aluminum substrates. Unlike aluminum alloys that contain strengthening elements, pure aluminum is softer, more ductile, and possesses a highly reactive oxide layer that can interfere with coating adhesion. This specialized primer uses advanced reactive chemistry to penetrate and bond effectively with the pure aluminum oxide surface, creating a durable, corrosion-resistant interface that prevents peeling, delamination, filiform corrosion, and galvanic attack. The primer also seals surface micro-porosity and provides an excellent base for a wide range of topcoats, including epoxy, polyurethane, fluorocarbon, and high-performance industrial finishes.
