Description

The FLD-Specialized Primer for Aluminum Alloys is a high-performance, two-component epoxy primer specifically formulated to address the unique surface characteristics of aluminum and its alloys. Aluminum’s natural oxide layer, while providing corrosion resistance, often prevents conventional primers from achieving strong, lasting adhesion. This specialized primer uses reactive adhesion chemistry to bond effectively with the aluminum surface, creating a durable interface that resists peeling, delamination, and filiform corrosion. The primer also provides excellent corrosion inhibition, sealing micro-porosity and galvanic corrosion sites, and serves as an ideal base for a wide range of topcoats, including epoxy, polyurethane, fluorocarbon, and high-performance marine and industrial finishes.
