Description

The FLD-Epoxy Skim Coat Putty is a two-component, low-viscosity epoxy filler specifically formulated for thin-layer application over concrete, steel, or previously coated surfaces. Designed to smooth out minor surface imperfections, such as hairline cracks, porosity, pinholing, roller marks, and light texture, this skim coat creates a uniform, defect-free base for high-build topcoats or self-leveling systems. Its fine-particle formulation ensures easy spreading and a smooth, professional finish.

Key benefits:

  • Ideal for thin-layer application (0.5–2 mm) to refine surface quality.

  • Fills hairline cracks, blowholes, pinholing, and minor surface porosity.

  • Smooth, paste-like consistency allows easy trowel or squeegee application.

  • Excellent adhesion to properly prepared concrete, steel, and cured epoxy coatings.

  • Fast cure allows rapid overcoating with epoxy or polyurethane finishes.

Typical applications: Smoothing concrete surfaces before epoxy self-leveling or high-build coatings, filling pinholes and porosity in epoxy primers or existing coatings, preparing steel surfaces for high-gloss topcoats, resurfacing worn or lightly damaged floor coatings, and providing a uniform base for decorative epoxy systems (quartz, flake, or metallic finishes).
