As highway transportation infrastructure ages, concrete guardrails and crash walls exposed to outdoor environments for a long time suffer from continuous rain erosion, carbon dioxide carbonization, freeze-thaw cycles and salt corrosion. Common defects include surface dusting, cracking and peeling, which not only affect the appearance of structures, but also weaken structural durability and shorten the service life of guardrails.
To solve the anti-corrosion protection challenges of highway concrete structures, FLDC, as a leading local industrial coating manufacturer, has customized a special concrete anti-corrosion protection system and successfully completed the highway concrete guardrail anti-corrosion renovation project.
Standardized Construction Process for Reliable Protection

During the project construction phase, FLDC strictly follows standardized construction procedures. In the early stage, the concrete base is polished and cleaned, loose and dusty parts are removed, and crack defects are repaired to ensure a solid and clean base. Then matching sealing materials are applied to block concrete capillary pores and cut off the intrusion of moisture and salt. FLDC special concrete anti-corrosion coatings are applied in layers to form a continuous and dense protective film, which resists outdoor rain, de-icing salt and ultraviolet erosion, inhibits concrete carbonization, and reduces the recurrence probability of concrete diseases from the source.
The on-site construction team strictly controls every process, focusing on the coating treatment of weak parts such as corners and joints to ensure paint film adhesion and overall protection integrity. Different from ordinary protective materials, FLDC concrete anti-corrosion coatings have strong bonding force with concrete substrates, with excellent impermeability, carbonization resistance and weather resistance. The coating is not easy to peel off, providing long-term protection for highway crash barriers and reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
Deep Cultivation in Infrastructure Protection for Transportation Durability
FLDC has long been engaged in the field of industrial special coatings, and continuously develops targeted anti-corrosion protection solutions for transportation infrastructure scenarios, covering steel structure anti-corrosion, concrete protection, pavement protection and other engineering scenarios.
Moving forward, FLDC will continue to take project implementation as the foundation, polish supporting technologies for infrastructure anti-corrosion, and provide stable and reliable coating products and integrated coating solutions for the durability protection of transportation infrastructure.
