Description

The FLD-Specialized Primer for Stainless Steel is a high-performance, two-component epoxy primer specifically formulated to overcome the inherent adhesion challenges of stainless steel substrates. Stainless steel’s passive chromium oxide layer, while providing excellent corrosion resistance, often prevents conventional coatings from achieving strong, long-lasting adhesion. This specialized primer uses advanced adhesion-promoting chemistry to chemically bond with the passive surface, creating a robust interface that resists peeling, delamination, and underfilm corrosion. It also seals surface imperfections and provides an excellent base for a wide range of topcoats, including epoxy, polyurethane, fluorocarbon, and high-performance marine and industrial finishes.
